ULA SOFT LTD ("we") operates PlainAstro and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@plainastro.com.

Free calculators

The birth details you type into a calculator (date, time, place, optional first name) are used to compute your chart for that page view. We do not store them. They appear in the page address so you can bookmark or share your result; those pages are marked so search engines don't index them.

Paid readings

When you order a reading we store your birth date, time, place, the optional name you give, your email address and the written reading, so we can deliver it, email you the link and let you open it again later. Payment is handled by Stripe; we receive a confirmation and your email, never your card details. Legal basis: performing our contract with you. We keep orders for 6 years for accounting, and you can ask us to delete the reading text and birth details sooner.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and our own privacy-friendly page analytics to see which pages are useful. We set one first-party cookie (pa_src) that remembers how you first found us (for example a search engine or a campaign link) for 30 days, so we know which pages lead to readings. Google Analytics sets its own cookies.

Who processes data for us

Hosting (DigitalOcean, EU data centre), database hosting (DigitalOcean), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Amazon Web Services), text generation for readings (OpenAI, which receives the computed chart and your first name if you gave one, not your email), analytics (Google).

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion or restriction, and you can object to processing. Write to hello@plainastro.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
